The Raquette Race is the most challenging course in the King of New York series. Held on the Stone Valley section in Colton, NY, racers start in intervals above Colton Falls and race to the finish line below Particle Accelerator. Dubbed the "Green Race of the North", this race is longer, steeper, and faster than its Southern kin. Remember to smile through the 6 significant rapids because Five 2 Nine Productions will be there to capture the glory and carnage. Held on Labor Day (Labour Day to those crossing the border), this race caps off a long weekend of recreational releases on the Beaver River (Mosier, Taylorville, and Eagle sections), the Black River, and, of course, the Stone Valley section of the Raquette.
Registration is held between 10:00am and 11:00am at the put-in. Racers start at ~2 minute intervals beginning at high noon. Volunteer check-in is at 10:00am.
